Transport For Wales

Transport for Wales (TfW) is a not-for-profit company wholly owned by the Welsh Government, responsible for delivering an integrated public transport network across Wales and its border regions. Established to drive sustainable travel, TfW oversees rail operations, bus route integration, and active travel infrastructure.

Its subsidiary, TfW Rail, directly operates passenger services across 248 stations, connecting Welsh communities with key English hubs like Manchester and Birmingham. Major infrastructure projects include rolling stock upgrades, station modernisations, and the flagship South Wales Metro development.
