Virgin Media

Virgin Media is a major British telecommunications provider formed in 2007 through the merger of NTL, Telewest, and Virgin Mobile UK. In 2021, the company merged with O2 UK to create Virgin Media O2 (VMED O2 UK Limited), a 50:50 joint venture between Liberty Global and Telefónica.

Operating its own extensive hybrid fibre-coaxial and fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) network, Virgin Media supplies gigabit broadband, digital television (Virgin TV), fixed-line home phone, and mobile services. The combined entity serves tens of millions of UK connections, competing directly with BT Group and Sky as a primary integrated quad-play operator.
